Laura Casamitjana was born in 1951 in Mexico City and actually lives in Cd. Victoria, Tamaulipas. Mx since 1983. She studied Graphic Design in Iberoamerican University

She started to dabble in the field of visual arts as self-taught and experimental.

She has taken several courses such as engraving, woodcut, typography, children's art, literature, sculpture in clay and plaster, she has been developing her style with constant work and continuous research.

She has trained several generations of children and youth within the visual arts, some of his students have exhibited individually and collectively and have won awards at the state and to date, she has presented 40 solo exhibitions and has participated in over 100 group. Her work is in several private and institutional collections National level.
